There is no strict rule on how to use an infrared sauna. You can use it as often as everyday or a couple times a week to adjust to your needs. That being said, there are a few things you can do to make your sauna session as comfortable and beneficial to your health as possible.

You start with setting the sauna temperature to what you find comfortable, most people prefer 110-120 F. But you can experiment with higher or lower temperature depending on your condition at that time, whatever temperature that can work up a sweat for you and not uncomfortable. Bring a towel with you to wipe away the perspiration on your body. If you like music bring a CD player with you or a book to read to relax your mind.

When you just started to use the sauna the first few times limit yourself to about 20 to 30 minutes inside so your body can slowly adjust to the therapy. Eventually you may be able to build up your time in the sauna to an hour. There is no ideal time duration to use an infrared sauna but most people can use it comfortably for about 30 minutes. It is important to make sure that you are not losing too much minerals through sweating while staying in the sauna
too long.

The next question you may have is how often you should use a sauna. You can start with one to two times per week, and slowly increase the frequency to suit your schedule and needs. Some people use it everyday because they benefit trememdously from the daily sauna therapy.

After the sauna session it is important to take 15 minutes or so to relax and not do anything stressful. It is during this time period that you allow your body to cool down and not exposing it to cold temperature immediately. Drastic change in temperature right after a sauna therapy can be a shock to your body.

Want to find the right infrared sauna for yourself? Well then you have to know what you’re looking for. It does not matter if your desire sauna is cabin or portable tent style, expensive or cheaper model, it is always a good idea to do some research on your own before making the purchase.

There are definitely some variations between a conventional cabin sauna and a portable tent sauna. The biggest of all is no doubt the price. The conventional sauna comes in a much bigger size which can hold anywhere from 1 to 10 people, and will cost anywhere from $1,200 to $10,000 or more.

On the other hand, a portable tent style infra red sauna is very light weight and the price is very affordable to many people. You can find one of these at as low as $150 for the basic model, and there are other models with additional features that cost less than $1000.

There are times when we see a sauna that looks perfect and the price is a steal we will be so tempted to take out our credit card and make the purchase right away. But before you make that compulsive purchase you need to consider if it is as great as it seemed. The best thing is to do some research on the internet where people give honest reviews on that particular model of infrared sauna. Forums are always a good place to find reviews.

Normally you get what you pay for, so the cheaper models are made of low quality materials and are compromised on the construction. So there will be safety issues on wiring, controls and heaters can be made of cheap materials. Some will have toxic glues inside the sauna which will produce noxious odor, others use low quality wood material that has a bad smell to it.

So by doing your research thoroughly you will save yourself a lot of headaches down the road. Some sauna manufacturers do have very good information on their website to educate their customers, so it is good to check them out. By educating yourself you can make informed decision on which infrared sauna to purchase to fit your needs.

Are you looking around on the internet to purchase an infrared sauna, well you’re not alone. Even though a lot of saunas look almost the same in pictures but there are significant differences depending where you purchase it from. There are saunas made in USA and Canada, but mostly they are made in Asia particularly China.

The first thing to consider when you are looking to purchase an infra red sauna is if the company selling it is a reputable one. Companies selling saunas can be a dealer or they may be the manufacturer themselves. If you are buying from a dealer find out if they’re selling different brands or just specializing in one brand. Normally dealers who specialize in one brand will have better knowledge on that particular brand.

If you are ready to purchase a sauna click here.

Another important thing to consider is if the dealers had established good relationship with the manufacturers. So, if down the road you have any issues with the sauna you can go through the dealer instead of going direct to the manufacturers. Especially if the manufacturers are overseas you want to have a dealer who can provide you the customer service when needed.

That being said, you have to make sure that the dealer or manufacturer provide good warranty for the saunas they’re selling. Due to the cost of replacing a heater you want at least a five years or life time warranty on the heater of the sauna. Besides that, you also want to get warranty on the wiring because if the wiring goes out the sauna will pretty much become useless.

Also find out if you have to replace parts in the future will the dealer be able to provide you the service or do you have to purchase direct from the manufacturer. Considering if your sauna is manufactured oversea you wouldn’t want to deal with shipping parts from oversea direct from the manufacturer.

So when you are deciding where to purchase your infrared sauna do make sure you are buying from a reputable seller.  After doing some research I found a company that has good customer service, provides lifetime warranty on wood components, heating elements and electrical components.
