Whenever I saw people around us, or my friends that stressed out because of their problems, such as works, their families, and their boss; I would like to shake them and said “Relax!”. There are some moment where we are engulfed by all these stresses and need the relaxation immediately. What is better than a revitalize session in a sauna? I do not know exactly what the right answer is, but a sauna session would be on my list. A few days ago, I have been reading articles about health benefits of infrared saunas, and they are different from the benefits of traditional sauna. So here is the health benefits of infrared saunas:

1. Detoxification

Have you ever imagined how many exactly the amount of toxins that exposed to our body every day? Whether by drinking some alcohol or smoking intentionally. Whether by industrial chemicals in air or some additives within our food unintentionally. One thing for sure, our body need to be detoxified in a routine schedule. To detoxify our body, we need a various exercise and diets, but for they who have not time to do that, they can just sit in a sauna, and their body will be sweat all of the harmful material out from the body. Sweating is the natural way of our body to detoxify. Why choose modern sauna instead of traditional one? Because the health benefits of infrared saunas have been greater than the traditional one. Some studies said that when we are in the traditional sauna, we sweat out 3.5% toxins and 96% water, while the infrared sauna will make us sweat out 21% toxins and 82% water.

2. Weight Loss

Weight loss is one of the health benefits of infrared saunas and weight loss is the most reasons why people love infrared sauna sessions. There are studies said that when we did a sauna session, we can burn up to 600 calories in 30 minutes. Our calories will be burned because of the sweating process which the sauna session result. Beside that, another reason why our calories will be burned is because our body are working to cool itself in increased temperature.

Health benefits of infrared saunas are not only those mentioned above. The other benefits are your heart increased rate, as same as the increased metabolic rate and cardiac output. The lower temperatures in the infrared sauna will stimulate the fat sweat, thus eliminate the toxins which stored in fat, as opposite as traditional sauna, which just produce the water sweat. But always remember, to have a good weight loss program result, you must not depend on infrared sauna therapy only. This sauna therapy only help you to faster your weight loss program.
