What Should You Look For Before You Purchase an Infrared Sauna

Posted by admin on September 23rd, 2009

Want to find the right infrared sauna for yourself? Well then you have to know what you’re looking for. It does not matter if your desire sauna is cabin or portable tent style, expensive or cheaper model, it is always a good idea to do some research on your own before making the purchase.

There are definitely some variations between a conventional cabin sauna and a portable tent sauna. The biggest of all is no doubt the price. The conventional sauna comes in a much bigger size which can hold anywhere from 1 to 10 people, and will cost anywhere from $1,200 to $10,000 or more.

On the other hand, a portable tent style infra red sauna is very light weight and the price is very affordable to many people. You can find one of these at as low as $150 for the basic model, and there are other models with additional features that cost less than $1000.

There are times when we see a sauna that looks perfect and the price is a steal we will be so tempted to take out our credit card and make the purchase right away. But before you make that compulsive purchase you need to consider if it is as great as it seemed. The best thing is to do some research on the internet where people give honest reviews on that particular model of infrared sauna. Forums are always a good place to find reviews.

Normally you get what you pay for, so the cheaper models are made of low quality materials and are compromised on the construction. So there will be safety issues on wiring, controls and heaters can be made of cheap materials. Some will have toxic glues inside the sauna which will produce noxious odor, others use low quality wood material that has a bad smell to it.

So by doing your research thoroughly you will save yourself a lot of headaches down the road. Some sauna manufacturers do have very good information on their website to educate their customers, so it is good to check them out. By educating yourself you can make informed decision on which infrared sauna to purchase to fit your needs.
