When you are ready to purchase an infrared sauna you may wonder what is the best buy of all the various infrared sauna out there. In this article I will discuss some important factors you should take into consideration before buying the perfect sauna for yourself.

The one crucial thing that most sauna users will agree on is a warranty on the sauna. The heater of an infrared sauna is the most important element, and if that breaks down it will cost you as much to replace it as buying a new sauna. So a good buy will have to come with a life time warranty for the heater. There are three types of heater material: ceramic, metal rod or carbon, and ceramic will be the most ideal because it produces more penetrating heat. Warranty on the cabinet and controls are also very important.

The type of wood used to construct the sauna is very crucial to the life span of the sauna. A good quality sauna should be made of cedar wood because it is decay resistant, resists cracks better and will not split with the constant temperature change from heating it up and cooling it down. However, cedar oil can irritate the lung and saunas made with cedar are not recommended for those with asthmas or allergies.

An alternative to cedar wood sauna will be hemlock wood sauna. Hemlock wood can withstand and maintain a higher temperature than other woods. Planks made with hemlock have good stability and is resistant to warping and wearing. Best of all, it has no odor, is 100 percent hypoallerginic and is non-toxic.

If you want to relax and enjoy music in the infra red sauna you will definitely want to find a sauna with radio or cd player. Some sauna manufacturers build audio system or stereo inside their sauna. However, this may not be ideal considering the heat these systems have to withstand even though they are insulated. It will be a good idea to look for a sauna with connectors where you can hook up to an external audio or stereo system.

I had done some research and have found that East Coast Sauna has some really good sauna models.
